LEGO Atlantis on LEGO.com

by

LEGO.com now has a section dedicated to LEGO Atlantis. What I find interesting is that although the latest LEGO magazine advertises the release date as November 24th, the official release date (maybe of the site) is April 1st, 2010.

What I got confused of at first was that I couldn’t see what you were supposed to do. I read the instructions, but they didn’t make sense to me at first. Basically you use your up and down arrow buttons on your computer and you “explore” like you are in a submarine. There isn’t much there yet, just a tantalizing hint of things to come. 🙂

There is also one seller selling a LEGO Atlantis Ring and Diver (and nothing else) on Bricklink.com
LEGO Atlantis ringI’m not sure how they got something so early, but at least we can see that they are printing pictures on the rings, instead of just the same design over and over in different colors.

LEGO.com also has a new LEGO Games section (the UK version of LEGO.com)

This part of the site is much more informative and in-depth. Hopefully we will get that part of the site and the games over here in the States soon.

Update: Toys R Us accidentally posted a few of the LEGO Atlantis and Power Miners 2010 sets early on their site. Some lucky few were able to order them before the products were pulled off. That’s how a few sets got released early.

I saw a couple Atlantis sets on the shelves at my local TRU on Friday.
Just looking at Brickset to see which and realize that they are also selling 2010 City Fire Boat. Is it unusual to have sets release early?
