Series 7 — They’re Here!

April 15, 2012

They're here!

And once again the search begins! Series 7 of the Collectible Minifigures has started appearing in stores. Although the LEGO Store Catalog claims they will be available in May, they are already showing up in Toys R Us, Fred Meyer, and other retailers around the US.

Series 7 complete

I know there are confirmed reports in Portland, Oregon and Bakersfield, CA. But of course, at Toys R Us they are over priced and if one is patient, they will show up at the LEGO stores very soon. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I certainly am excited about practically the entire line! And I am seriously tempted to get a whole box of this one.

Sadly I don’t have any of Series 7 yet, but I assure you I will.

Why oh why LEGO do you keep producing such awesome stuff! My wallet groans a little every time another cool set comes out — but that’s not to say I won’t stop buying. ๐Ÿ˜€

Series 6 and 7 Collectible Minifigs

October 16, 2011

The pictures have already been circulating the internet, but up until now I’ve been too busy to post them.

A toy website has jumped the gun a little bit by revealing a picture of not only the Series 6 Collectible Minifigures, but also the Series 7.

Series 7

I have to admit, I’d seen Series 6 already, but not this particular image. I had already been drooling over those minifigs coming out before I saw Series 7.

There is almost too many cool figs and new elements for me to talk about without going into a long list of awesomeness. ๐Ÿ˜€

Okay, that may be a little cheesy, but there really are so many wonderful new parts coming out! It may be a bit painful to the wallet, but I’m sure I’ll be getting a full set of each and probably multiples of quite a few. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Come Along Dear . . .

December 30, 2010

Sometimes I get interesting custom requests for my wedding cake toppers. I was recently asked if I could make a bride dragging her groom to the alter.

Groom dragging his feet? Does the Bride need to bring him to the alter?

This was a lot of fun to do. It was a bit of a challenge to get it look like the bride was walking in her gown and the groom a tad disheveled. ๐Ÿ˜€

LEGO Miniland Wedding Cake Toppers

January 6, 2010

I mentioned earlier that I have started selling LEGO jewelery on Etsy.com

Well now I am starting (or is it going back too?) making Miniland figures that will also be available. Miniland scale is one of my favorite styles of building. I did it for 4 years at LEGOLAND California and even had the nickname of Miniland Mom (and no, I didn’t give it to myself ๐Ÿ˜‰ ). So creating new Miniland figures is “going back to my roots” as it were.

My first Esty Miniland creation is the traditional Bride and Groom wedding cake topper. Although this is the model that is shown, I will actually make the Miniland Bride and Groom look as close to the real people as possible by changing the hair color, style, dress, and skin tone.

That’s the great thing about Miniland verses Minifig scale. You can literally make everything custom without altering any bricks. ๐Ÿ™‚
