LEGO Mousetrap plus a Contest

LEGO Mousetrap

I don’t normally post about the same person twos time in a row, but I’ll make an exception for Nannan. His LEGO Mousetrap was just too good to pass up. Especially what he wrote under the picture — “Works on AFOLs too.”

In a totally unrelated, and yet just as tempting to AFOL’s, additional post Nannan is also running a contest on the LEGO Flickr group — Build a turkey, win a gold one!

Golden turkey

Wouldn’t it be awesome to have a gold LEGO turkey? Now you can score this real-gold plated LEGO turkey, the only one ever made from ChromeBricks, and it’s awesome. Simply build a turkey in the next three weeks and post a picture here, just in time for Thanksgiving. Yum.

A specially gold chromed turkey by Chromebricks is the much coveted prize of this fun and interesting challenge. πŸ™‚

The Last Supper (Chrome Version) 3

At the latest SANDlug (San Diego LEGO Users Group) Meeting. My good friend Bill Vollbrecht (a Master Model Designer and the LEGOLAND California Art Director) brought one of his latest creations — the Last Supper in Chrome Gold and Silver. Well it is a tad irreverent, so is Bill’s sense of humor. πŸ˜‰

Seeing so much chrome all in one place like that can be a little blinding! πŸ˜€

Promotional Gold Minifigure Keychain

Gold Minifig

Looks like LEGO has gone chrome crazy! Next month (July) at the LEGO stores nationwide people who purchase $75 worth of LEGO product (like that’s hard πŸ˜‰ ) will receive a Gold Minifigure Keychain while supplies last. I found this on Eurobricks.

This is the first time that LEGO has created a chrome minifigure keychain and the first time that the chrome minifigure isn’t Star Wars. My only complaint is that it looks like the hands aren’t chrome, but that’s just a minor thing.

The LEGO stores are a little bit of a trek from my home, but I just might have to make an exception for this one. πŸ™‚
