Series 7 — They’re Here!

April 15, 2012

They're here!

And once again the search begins! Series 7 of the Collectible Minifigures has started appearing in stores. Although the LEGO Store Catalog claims they will be available in May, they are already showing up in Toys R Us, Fred Meyer, and other retailers around the US.

Series 7 complete

I know there are confirmed reports in Portland, Oregon and Bakersfield, CA. But of course, at Toys R Us they are over priced and if one is patient, they will show up at the LEGO stores very soon. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I certainly am excited about practically the entire line! And I am seriously tempted to get a whole box of this one.

Sadly I don’t have any of Series 7 yet, but I assure you I will.

Why oh why LEGO do you keep producing such awesome stuff! My wallet groans a little every time another cool set comes out — but that’s not to say I won’t stop buying. ๐Ÿ˜€

Series 6 and 7 Collectible Minifigs

October 16, 2011

The pictures have already been circulating the internet, but up until now I’ve been too busy to post them.

A toy website has jumped the gun a little bit by revealing a picture of not only the Series 6 Collectible Minifigures, but also the Series 7.

I have to admit, I’d seen Series 6 already, but not this particular image. I had already been drooling over those minifigs coming out before I saw Series 7.

There is almost too many cool figs and new elements for me to talk about without going into a long list of awesomeness. ๐Ÿ˜€

Okay, that may be a little cheesy, but there really are so many wonderful new parts coming out! It may be a bit painful to the wallet, but I’m sure I’ll be getting a full set of each and probably multiples of quite a few. ๐Ÿ˜‰

LEGO World 2011 – Copenhagen Mosaic

LEGO World 2011 - Copenhagen

At first I didn’t even realize that this was a giant mosaic, that is until I looked at additional images.

That’s a pretty darn huge mosaic! Next thing they are going to build one so large you’ll only be able to see it from space. ๐Ÿ˜€

Series 3 Collectible Minifigures

November 7, 2010

Series 3 minifigs

Here’s the first non-preliminary image of the Series 3 Collectible Minifigures slated to come out in January.

There are some new elements and new colors, but if you read some of the online comments this series isn’t as exciting as Series 1 and 2. One of the most exciting, at least if my suspicion is correct, is the Elf Lord. If you look really closely, it almost looks like he actually has pointed ears. I don’t know if it is true or not, I guess we will find out in a couple months. But if it is true, it would be the first time that LEGO has given a standard minifig head ears of any sort.

Other exciting elements are the sand green fish and the white beard of the Fisherman, both new colors for those elements. And even the Fisherman’s fishing rod is different from the old style fishing rod.

The baseball bat, which up till now has only been produced by BrickArms, now is an official part. There is also the tennis racket and a new snowboard, for those who want more sports themes.

Some people fear that LEGO is becoming more Playmobile but I don’t necessarily see that as a bad thing. Playmobile has always been willing to take more chances and do themes and subjects that LEGO would find too controversial such as the Nativity. Plus, as I’ve been paying attention to the sets that are produced by both companies for years, LEGO seems to always be a year or two behind Playmobile in making very similar sets. For example — Playmobile came out with The Egyptians and next year LEGO is coming out with Pharaoh’s Quest next year (and from what I’ve seen of the sets, I’m super excited about it). ๐Ÿ˜‰

Now don’t get me wrong, LEGO is my first love when it comes to toys of course. But I had both LEGO and Playmobile growing up. I made the decision a long time ago to stick with LEGO rather than Playmobile for the simple reason that LEGO can be built into anything while Playmobile you are stuck with whatever you bought.

Okay, now that I’ve gone completely off topic from the start of my post, what do you think of the new series? Will it be as popular as the past two?

I know for a fact that there are definitely 2 more series slated to come out, and who knows what will be in those? ๐Ÿ™‚

2011 Set Early Pics

September 19, 2010

I know we still have a few months of 2010 left on the calendar, but at the same time rumors of next year’s line have now turned into images. ๐Ÿ™‚

If you want to be surprised, don’t read any further. And, as these are preliminary images, the quality isn’t all that great.

New Atlantis!!!!!!
Atlantis

I can certainly see wanting all of these! Especially the new 2×2 rounds! I’m surprised they had to make two waves of Atlantis before they made a set like what we were all hoping for. And new Series 3? What can I say, I’ll definitely want a box. ๐Ÿ˜‰
