The Thinking Minifig

Kevin Hinkle has posted yet another of his awesome LEGO drawings. This time its based off of Rodin’s The Thinker.

Another drawing, trying to pay tribute to the original work of art as much as possible. I tried to make the line work come as close as possible to a carved statue, not sure if it was completely successful or not. Not as happy with this one as with the Vitruvian Minifig.

I love well done illustrations of LEGO almost as I love LEGO! πŸ™‚

Vitruvian Minifig

You might know that Kevin Hinkle, the North American Community Coordinator for LEGO, is an AFOL at heart. What you might not know is that he is also a talented artist

Vitruvian Minifig

Kevin’s Vitruvian Minifig pays tribute to Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man but it reminds me more of one of my most favorite decorated LEGO tiles from 2001–

I hope Kevin shares more of his artistic abilities with us. πŸ™‚
