LEGO Marvel Super Heroes – Official E3 2013 Trailer and Variant Covers

June 11, 2013

If you’re a gamer, you know what E3 is, and you know that its going on right now in LA. I’m in to games, but the ones I’m most interested for this blog are the LEGO ones 😉

So, seeing the newest LEGO Marvel Super Heroes trailer makes me seriously excited!

It says its coming out in the fall. And if you want the exclusive figure, at least here in the US, you’ll need to pre-order it from Walmart

As a way of promoting the game Marvel will be releasing variant comic covers. Thanks FBTB for the info. 🙂

LEGO artists Leo Castellani, Christopher Jones and Adam DeKracker are providing a series of variant covers for some of Marvel’s September-releasing titles recreating some classic covers from the past in iconic LEGO minifigure form.

“Working with the folks at The LEGO Group to do these homage covers is an absolute blast!” said David Gabriel, SVP of Sales, Print & Digital. “As soon as we came up with the concept of doing the covers, I couldn’t wait to get an idea off the ground that really does justice to both the Marvel heroes and the LEGO brand.”

Here’s a list of all the variants that will be out

All-New X-Men #17
Avengers #21
Avengers A.I. #4
Captain America #12
Daredevil #31
Fantastic Four #13
Guardians Of The Galaxy #7
Hawkeye #15
Indestructible Hulk #14
Infinity #3
Iron Man #17
Marvel Universe: Avengers Assemble #1
Mighty Avengers #1
New Avengers #11
Nova #8
Secret Avengers #10
Superior Spider-Man #19
Thor: God Of Thunder #14
Uncanny Avengers #12
Wolverine & The X-Men #36
X-Men #5

Great, just one more thing to collect. 😀

New watches at Walmart

November 16, 2011

On my recent trip to Walmart a small display in the jewelry and watches area caught my eye. I saw LEGO watches but they were different from any I’ve ever seen. There were two notable differences — 1. The packaging was thinner. 2. There is this a small minifig on the band of the watch.

The price is around $16 US and from what I saw there were 5 different designs (I didn’t take a picture of the Darth Maul one).

I almost wanted to get one. I have to admit without sounding like a girlie girl that I liked the pink one best. But that was mainly because I already have lots of watches (about 15 or so) from when I worked at LEGOLAND and I don’t need any of the other colors. I didn’t pick one up mainly because I don’t wear a watch anymore and even though I like the minifig on the band I can’t see much use for it other than as part of a watch. I’m sure someone will prove me wrong. 😉

Happy Thanksgiving!

November 28, 2008

I know it’s a little late, but Happy Thanksgiving! This is an official LEGO set of a turkey, although its not currently available, it has been in the past. I was actually looking for a really cool LEGO turkey to show you, but I just couldn’t seem to find one. The sad thing is that there is a really cool one at LEGOLAND, but I don’t have a picture of it, and I don’t think its anywhere on public display. It was made a few years ago for the first Master Model Builder search. I also thought about making a cool LEGO turkey, but I was a bit too lazy to do it. (Especially after the pumpkin pie!)

And for all of you Black Friday Shoppers out there, well there are quite a few LEGO sets on sale. Target has the Imperial Star Distroyer for $59.99 and Walmart has the King’s Castle Siege for $48.88. Toys R Us also has selected Bionicle, all Aqua Raiders sets, the Star Wars MTT, and the Mars Mission Drilling Unit on sale. Good luck, and happy shopping! 😉
